Richard: Oops! I was toying with some function keys.
Marge: I'm not buying it.
Richard: I'm happy that the pic is gone =D
Marge: *rolls her eyes*
Rick: *turns somber and quiet*
Marge: What's wrong? Didn't you say you were happy?
Rick: Marge, what will my punishment be?
Marge: Why all of the sudden you're willing to be punished?
Rick: I've been thinking of karma and it's troubling me.
Marge: How so?
Rick: What goes around comes around, right? I was bad, Marge. I slept with women I had no feeling for. I...I'm scared I'll have to pay the consequences later.
Rick: I have to be honest with you. I don't regret the intimacy.
Marge: You don't?
Rick: How can you regret the intimacy no matter how wrong it is? It's when you're being close to someone, at least being with them, comforting them for awhile. It's a good thing. I don't regret the intimacy but I regret any feeling I might lead them to mistaken. I had no right for these feelings but I took them anyway.
Marge: But they knew that they wouldn't have future with you beforehand.
Rick: Many didn't believe it. You know the cliche, they thought they might be the one to change my mind and fell for that same old trap.
Marge: At least you told them first hand.
Rick: It didn't make any difference about what I've done.
Marge: Rick, you deserve to be happy.
Rick: Do I? I did all these horrible things. I don't even regret them.
Marge: So you're waiting for something bad to happen to you? You're waiting to live unhappily all your life?
Rick: I'm scared. One day, I'll have to pay for all the things I did. What if I lose you when I just find you?
Marge: You can't live in fear.
Rick: But don't you think I deserve that?
Marge: Bad things happen to good people all the time. Do you think they deserve that? Sometimes, Rick, deserving has nothing to do with what happens to your life. Try forgiving yourself, Rick. You didn't betray anyone.
Rick: I was an accomplice, might as well be the one committed the crime.
Marge: But you weren't the one committed the crime. True, things are bad but life is also crazy. Sometimes, you just have to grab whatever comfort you can find just to get by and go on. You think you don't deserved to be loved. Gil loves you just fine. I'm in love with you just fine. I have never thought of what you did and what you should deserve. I only think of who you are and what I feel about you. I'm sure Gil feels that way too.
Marge: Don't worry too much Rick. Live as you feel. You lived that way when you felt lonely. You find courage to go against all these dark powers with Gil because you love him. So live what you feel, but don't worry that the past will come and dictate what will happen to you.
Rick: How can you see all these good things in me while even I can't?
Marge: We all have dirty secrets. But they're also parts of who we are. And there are people who love us as whoever we are, flaws and all. We may feel that we don't deserve their love. But that doesn't matter. The point is they love us and the best thing we can do is love them back with everything we are.
Rick: Has anyone ever said you should be a philosopher?
Marge: I learned that from Brig. She told me that. She said that deserving had absolutely nothing to do with love. We feel what we feel. She said: "Respect Fate, because you can be happy even though you don't deserve it."
Marge hugs Rick tightly. "Don't worry too much, Rick. It's all in the past. Now, if something comes back to bite you in the ass, I'll be by your side and go through that consequence with you. And you know why?
Rick: *breathlessly* Why?
Marge: Because I want to. Because I have feelings for you that it's way much better to stand by your side than watch from the sideline and chuckle "Aha, Karma got you."
Rick: *kisses her tenderly* Thank you and just so you know, your feelings are mutual.
Betty: *fumes* Guys! You ruined it! Now everyone knows you're lovey dovey. That was supposed to be in part two of your story!
Rick: Betty, calm down. I'm pretty sure they all have that figured out already. It'll still be interesting to watch us fumbling to figure that out for ourselves.
Marge: And we're not even past the second story. Do you think our series are too philosophical? =D
Betty: *not talking*
Rick: Sulking Betty!!!! =P
Marge: *laughs* Oh yeah, Rick. You still have to pay for deleting your pic in my cell.
Rick: Oh, come on. Pity me!
Marge: No! Not for that one! *winks to sulking Betty*
Betty: *amused but still mad*
Richard: Hey, guys, can you convince Marge to forget about this small incident? Please? *grins broadly and charmingly* :D Please, Tiffany? Natsoumi? ^-^
