Richard: Cut the formal, Betty. It's my pleasure. So, now, hit me with it. What's the first question?
Betty *clears throat*: Tiffany asked how could you know about movies but not vacuum?
Richard: Because when I traveled to other dimensions with Gil, I learned of movies or cars and many other things. But I had never seen a vacuum before. I mean, come on, where do you think we went to observe vacuum? :D
Betty: Which brings me to next question. Where did you go?
Richard: It's a long list and I can't remember all. I remembered few bizzare ones like the ones I told Marge, the one with practically no color. When you travel enough of different dimensions, everything starts to become a blur and you can't really distinguish every single one. But hey, we definitely didn't follow any maid to see if any used a vacuum to clean a room.
Betty: That makes sense. Have you ever tried to take something from other dimensions to Kalas?
Richard: Only if the dimension is similar enough to Kalas. Otherwise, I can't.
Betty: How so? What will happen if you try?
Richard *grin evilly*: Don't want to spoil you. It'll be answered in Gil's book.
Betty: When is Gil's book?
Richard: After mine =)
Betty: Okay, are you ready for a hard and even personal question?
Richard: Just one?
Betty: Uhm, actually more than one.
Richard: It's what an interview for. Ask away.
Betty: Okay. How notorious were you before you met Marge?
Richard *laughs*: I didn't know there was a grading scale for level of notoriety. Let's just go with quite high.
Betty: You mean, you charmed every woman on sight?
Richard: When you had a lot of practices, you recognized a pattern of what women wanted and it didn't take much effort.
Betty: And what do women want?
Richard: Shouldn't you know? You're a woman. Anyway, most women I charmed wanted a fantasy that they couldn't have. A tall, dark, handsome and even cold guy whom for a moment they think they can tame.
Betty: And you figured all this out?
Richard: It took a lot of observations. And young girls tend to talk more about this. Older women tucked this fantasy deep down but they still had it.
Betty: Next question, why do want to sleep with all these women without ever wanting to be in a relationship?
Richard: I told you, relationship worried me. Being in a relationship means I commit to her and be responsible for the relationship at least. There's no relationship without the other person, so the first thing I can think of is to protect her. I was a prison guard back then and Sabur would kill me if Lydia wasn't in the way. How safe my partner could be?
Betty: So you avoided relationship like a plague? But then why do you feel proud about it? You didn't even want to have a relationship with Marge at first?
Richard: I wouldn't say I was proud of being a womanizer. I felt smug about it; it boosted my ego. What could women see in a dirtbag man with no family? I think they associated with me more because I was so close to Gil. I think without my relationship with Gil, no matter how irresistible I was, I wouldn't be able to get as many women as I did.
Betty: So you think Marge "associate" with you because of your friendship with Gil?
Richard: NO! Marge is a whole different story. She didn't even care. Marge caught me at my most embarrassing states and still managed to see something good about me. She wanted me despite her experience with her stupid ex. She wanted me for me.
Betty: Boosted your ego?
Richard: Surprisingly, it frightened me and frustrated me more than anything. I came to hate my womanizer status. I had been so lonely and wanted someone to warm my bed. I was serving my sex drive. But Marge...Yes, she made me crazy with lust but I cared for her too much. I'm happy just to see her smile and cracking jokes after saying no to me. Before I knew it, I was falling for her. I was so scared of somebody just jumped on her and killed her or something. But I couldn't stand the feeling of never seeing her again and I craved the sight, the sound, the smell, everything of her.
Betty: You reluctantly have a relationship with Marge?
Richard: To be fair, we both reluctantly fall for each other.
Betty: True. So are you scared of her being killed now?
Richard: Yes. But at least she's not in Kalas. Sometimes, I'm angry at myself for feeling all these things for her but I can't help it. I...I'm scared but I need her.
Betty: Okay, last personal question.
Richard *groans*: Oh, come on. Men are not good at admitting their fears and I spilled guts enough.
Betty: But this one is just a hypothetical question. Now that you're in love with Marge, if something happens in Kalas that forces you to be away from her, what will you do?
Richard: I'll be with her nonetheless. Gil has no problem with it. Hell, he even encourages me to. But yeah, if anything, I'll be with her, not only to keep her safe, but to keep my sanity, even if I have to run back and forth between the two dimensions and get no sleep.
Betty: Run back and forth?
Richard: I can't leave Gil alone to face with whatever in Kalas.
Betty: And what if Marge doesn't want a run-back-and-forth boyfriend?
Richard *silent for awhile*: It's her choice. I'll be miserable but if she really can't accept it, I have no choice but to give her the chance to find someone better. But now, as long as she has me, I'll do whatever to be with her.
Betty *clasps hands*: Bravo, a reformed womanizer.
Richard: That doesn't mean I turn off my charms ;)
Betty *snorts*: Yeah, from what I've seen, you got a case of tunnel vision with Marge. You don't see any other woman. Move on to next question, when will your second part of story come out?
Richard: It'll be the final part of my story. It'll be packed with actions. It'll come out around December 16th or sometime close to that time.
Betty: Can you give us some hints?
Richard: Not to give away too much. The kidnapping will get worse and personal. And it'll be a start of Gil's relationship.
Richard: Yes. Be sure to read at least the second part of my story before reading Gil's because it'll be how Gil meets his woman.
Betty: Who's Gil's woman?
Betty: Okay. Fine. Will the second part be as funny as the first part?
Richard: No, it'll be a bit darker. Come on, what's so funny about a bunch of kidnappings? However, it can be exciting because there'll be a different dimension other than Kalas and Dello featured in the second part.
Betty: Hooray. A happy dimension?
Richard: There's no happy dimension, Betty. Here's the hint, you'll hear some rumors about one reason that drove Sabur to be so bad.
Betty *frowns*: Definitely doesn't sound like a happy dimension.
Richard: *rolls his eyes*
Betty: Okay. This question is not quite personal but maybe a sensitive subject for you.
Richard *groans*: I thought we were done with these personal questions. Who's asking?
Betty: She signed anonymous. She wrote and I read. "Hi Richard, I know you're a womanizer or used to be, so I think you might have an insight to my situation. I've been together with my boyfriend for one year now. He takes good care of himself and he's good to me and all but I don't feel secure. Lately, I found out that he had been acquaintanted with many other women. I'm not sure how intimate they are but he take calls in secrecy and has excuses to cancel our plans. When we go out, sometimes he even flirts openly with other women. Am I paranoid or is something fishy going on?"
Richard: I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Thank you for trusting me with this. To be honest, I don't have much experiences in relationships to give you any advice but I can tell you what I think. In my opinion, he's not really true to you. His actions do seem suspicious. When Marge is on my mind, I barely notice other women, much less flirt with them. Having female friends, being courteous or polite to other women are different to flirting with them. I suggest you should have a talk with him about what concerns you. If he's still in denial and acting suspicious, I think he's either a womanizer and he's not into you as he mighthave told you. Follow your gut, it's what I'm saying. If you don't feel secure and happy in a relationship, if something feels wrong, you can either fix the problem or move on to another better relationship. Good luck and update us.
Betty: A love-guru now?
Richard: Hey, I never claim to be one.
Betty *grins*: Last question, where are your pictures of you in the pink shirt?
Richard *gives Betty dirty look*: Who asked that question?
Betty: Uhm, David.
Richard *fumes*: Of course! I knew it!!!!
Betty: You're not answering the question, Rick.
Richard: There's no picture of me in pink shirt getting online ever. EVER. That's not negotiable. Enough people saw such ridiculous picture.
Betty *laughs*: All right. Any last words?
Richard: Thank you everyone for supporting us. Oh, yeah, I do strongly suggest David to have an interview too.
Betty *laughs*: I'll ask. Thank Rick for doing this.
Richard: My pleasure. Feel free to email me, espcially to update me, anonymous. There won't be another interview with me until my second part comes out but I can answer emails. ;)
Betty: Thank you everyone.
