Marguerite: Yes, yes yes! Everyone wants it and I demand it.
Rick: No. Why do you listen to them?
Marge: Because they have reasons.
Marge: Yes. How about I promise no picture will be taken?
Rick: No technology involved. Absolutely none.
Rick: Fine. Just so you know, I don't like it. And you can tell Natsoumi that I don't like her either.
Marge: Yeah, yeah. Go on, get change.
Rick grudgingly goes to the bathroom. Five minutes later, he comes out with a fuzzy cat ears and a pink bow tie on one ear on his head. He's wearing nothing but a pink towel and a pair of fuzzy Hello Kitty slippers. He clenches one hand while holding a pink Hello Kitty toothbrush on the other hand.
Marge bursts out laughing. "Can I call Brig over?"
Rick: NOOOO!!!! Remember our deal?
Marge: Brig isn't technology.
Rick: Dave's mouth is a radio, so it counts as one.
Marge: Fine. *Snickers* Go ahead. Time to pay, Rick.
Rick: *groans miserably*
Marge: *turns on the music* Four, tres, two, uno.
(Will I Am voice over from the CD player) Listen up you all, 'cause this is it. The beat that I'm bangin' is delicious.
Rick: *holds the toothbrush as a microphone* Fergalicious definition makes them boys go loco. They want my treasure......
Marge: *laughs out loud till tears come to her eyes* Shake it, Rick, shake it!!!
Rick: *glares but shakes his hip* Fergalicious, so delicious but I ain't promiscuous...
Marge: *rolling on the couch laughing*
At Brigitte's house:
Brig: *on the phone with Nat* Yeah, I can't believe that song climbs to number one on the chart. That song is about domestic violence.
(Nat- voice on the phone) "Yeah, that's fucked. "
Loud metal banging noise. Brig shouts to Dave who is in the kitchen. "You're doing all right in there?"
Dave: *yells back* No problem. I'm just looking for the right pan. It's okay.
(Nat-voice on the phone) "What's he doing?"
Brig: *to Nat* He's trying to make egg noddle chicken soup.
Very loud sizzling noise. Brig: *shouts out* Do you need any help?
Dave: *yells over the sizzling sound* No, don't worry.
(Nat- voice on the phone) "You're sure you don't want to help him out?"
Brig: *to Nat* Nah, give a man a chance to manage in kitchen by himself.
(Nat- voice on the phone) Men usually don't ask for directions.
Brig: *to Nat* And let's see how well that turns out. So you're not going out tonight?
Nat: *on the phone* No, I don't want to go to the bar alone. It's kinda boring. I'd rather just stay home and have a glass of wine.
Brig: You and Alex, wanting to find someone but don't want to have fun.
Nat: *on the phone* I'll have plenty of fun sipping my glass of wine.
More loud noises come from kitchen. Brig ignores them.
Nat: *on the phone* Don't you want to check on him?
Brig: Nah, I should be mentally prepare to see the mess only once when he finishes. No need to see the mess now.
Nat: *laughs on the phone* Good point. What's Alex doing?
Brig: He said he'd stay late in the clinic tonight to check on patients. He's probably reading magazines or bored out of his mind now.
Nat: *tsked on the phone* Poor guy. He needs someone to just bang into his life.
Brig: You too.
Nat: *on the phone* So is Rick going to stay in Dello?
Brig: I don't know what the deal is. He's very close to Gil though. I don't think he'll stay in Dello. Besides, it's not really a good time to just leave Gil there, so I hope they work something out.
Nat: *on the phone* Do you think he really likes Marge?
Brig: He'd better be serious with her or I'll kill him.
Nat: *on the phone* Does Gil say anything? If Gil is very close to him and Rick always respects Gil the most, Gil might know what Rick's thinking.
Brig: No, Gil hasn't commented on the whole Rick-dating-Marge yet. Dave didn't want to ask. You know men, they don't really want to talk about their feeling all the time.
Nat: *on the phone* True. Hey, my dinner is ready. Ghost Whisperer is on back to back tonight. I'll talk to you soon.
Brig: *smiles* Ghost Whisperer. That Jim guy is cute. Enjoy. I'll go check on any disaster in my kitchen. Good night.
Brig hangs up the phone and goes into kitchen. One pot, one pan, and two drainers in the sink. The stove has oil and water all over. Another pot was on the medium fire, cooking. Dave turns to her and grins. "You want to test my soup?"
Dave blows off the heat from the spoonful soup and gives it to Brig. Brig sips the soup. She widens her eyes and swallows it slowly. It was too salty and too spicy.
Dave: *horrified* Is it bad?
He puts a spoonful in his mouth and spits it right out. He turns off the heat.
Dave: *boyishly embarrassed, frantically apologizes* I'm so sorry. I didn't know it tasted so bad.
Brig: *smiles weakly* What did you put in it?
Dave: Oh, a little bit of every spices, cinnamon, ground red pepper, salt, sugar, rose mary...
Brig: *laughs* Dave, you just need to put in a little salt, pepper, a tad of rose mary and a pinch of parsley. Sometimes simple tastes better.
Dave: *smiles and cringes his nose* What's that smell? Something's burning?
Brig: *frantically turns off the oven* Oh My God! I forgot about the muffins.
Smoke comes out of the oven and all the muffins are black. Brig groans then looks at Dave. They burst out laughing.
Brig: *laughs* Do you want pizza?
Dave: *hugs Brig's waist* Yes, add a tiramitsu to go with it too.
Brig: I'll call for delivery.
Dave: I'll start cleaning up.
He leans down to kiss Brig. "You're right. So simple, so good!"
At Kalas castle:
Gille: Mother, do you want to come down and have dinner with me?
Lydia: I prefer to have dinner here, Gilly.
Gille nods and leaves Lydia in privacy. He comes back few minutes later with a tray of food. He pulls out a chair for himself and sits across from Lydia.
Gil: *indicates the moon drawing* Why did you stop painting, mother?
Lydia: I had no more passion for it. I just had no joy.
Gil: I'm glad you draw again.
Lydia: Yeah, I find my peace again. Not exactly joy, but I don't feel so restless like before.
Gil: I'm happy for you, mother.
Lydia: I'm sorry, Gilly.
Gil: For what, mother?
Lydia: For being swallowed in my misery. I wasn't really a good example for you. I'm glad you stand up for your own. Always stand up and fight for your dream, Gilly.
Gil: You have courage too, mother. I saw you going against Sabur so bravely, even when he hurt you.
Lydia: I'm not strong enough to leave him, to face gossip, to face all other challenges. And it's my fault that our country is in this state.
Gil: Mother, every country has its up and down. You just happened to live in the down time. There was nothing wrong of loving someone that he didn't return the feeling.
Lydia: Maybe I should have quit.
Gil: Everybody is blind in love. He was pretending he loved you too. You couldn't know until it was too late.
Lydia: You have a big heart, Gilly. Thank you for always standing by my side.
Gil: No need for thanking me, mother. You endure many things just to make me happy.
I love you, mother.
Lydia: *opens her arms* Come here to me, Gilly.
Gil comes to her and hugs his mother.
Lydia: No one can ask for a better son. I love you, son. I've always loved you very much, Gilly.
Gil: I know, mother.
Gil reaches up and wipes away few tears that escape his mother's eyes.
Gil: It's a new chapter in life, mother. You'll find your happiness. You'll feel like yourself again, only wiser.
Lydia: I hope so. Just so you know, I'll always be here for you, Gilly.
Gil: *kisses her hand* And I you, mother. Don't worry about a thing. Everything will be fine as it's supposed to be.
